Jurassic World 3 Gets Working Title

We have some details regarding Jurassic World 3 as production gears up for a 2020 shoot. First off, we’ve learned that the movie’s working title will be Arcadia, which may or may not tell us a thing or two about the sequel. It’s additionally been revealed that the production will be shooting in Vancouver, Canada, which joins a growing list of confirmed locations for the Universal Pictures blockbuster.

According to a new report, the latest entry in the Jurassic Park franchise will be filming under the title Arcadia. That’s not the official title. Rather, a working title that is used as something of a placeholder during production. Sometimes these titles provide clues about what’s to come. More often than not, they’re mostly nonsense that can help disguise the real title during filming...

This Bizarre Baby Yoda

Baby Yoda

Baby Yoda

In a record amount of time, The Mandalorian’s breakout character The Child (better known as “Baby Yoda”) has captured the hearts of Star Wars fans everywhere. Forget about Porgs. All is Baby Yoda now.

As is the way of 2019, the adorable little green man has already spawned a sea of internet memes and an extensive merchandise line to boot. Next on the table is perhaps the most unsettling image you’ll see today. ScreenRant unearthed from the depths of Instagram a piece of fan art that depicts Baby Yoda as Joaquin Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck:

There. Now you can’t unsee it. Gaze into the soulful eyes of “Joker Yoda” (Joda?) for too long and who knows what will happen. There’s no denying that the artwork is incredibly lifelike...

Does The Mandalorian Know

WARNING: The following contains spoilers for The Mandalorian.

Disney+’s The Mandalorian continues to develop the relationship between Pedro Pascal’s Dyn Jarren, aka “the Mandalorian,” and the mysterious Baby Yoda, but does the bounty hunter even know who Jedi Master Yoda is? In the first three episodes of the Jon Favreau-created live-action series, much of the story revolved around the pair’s dynamic. It was clear from the get-go that Dyn has always had a soft spot for the 50-year-old child from the moment he saw him. That said, it seems like Dyn’s affinity to Baby Yoda purely stems from the latter being an abandoned child, and Dyn having had the same experience himself.

Aladdin Spin-Off Is Happening

An Aladdin spin-off is in the works, as Disney is reportedly developing a spin-off of the live-action remake following Prince Anders. The project is intended to premiere on Disney+ and likely won’t be having a wide theatrical release akin to Aladdin. Billy Magnussen is expected to reprise the role from the movie, and Disney has hired Jordan Dunn and Michael Kvamme to write the screenplay. Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich are also on board to produce for Rideback, with Ryan Halprin executive producing.

Though the live-action Aladdin remake was largely faithful to its source material, it did introduce some original characters. Magnussen’s Prince Anders is one of the movie’s standout creations, thanks in large part to his amusing portrayal...

Another 'Mad Max' Film

Another ‘Mad Max’ Film

As movie websites post their best films of the 2010s list, you see titles pop up over and over again. One of the most consistent films featured on these list is Mad Max: Fury Road, George Miller’s hellacious action movie about a wild car chase through the post-apocalyptic wasteland. On ScreenCrush’s own best of the decade list, Fury Road came in #4. So you know it must be good.

It took Miller almost 30 years to make Fury Road after the previous Mad Max sequel, 1985’s Beyond Thunderdome, but according to the filmmaker himself, he’s prepping the fifth Mad Max film right now. In an interview with Deadline he said that he’s “not done with the Mad Max story”:

There’s certainly another Mad Max coming down the pike after this...

The Batman

The Batman

After a long and rough start, Matt Reeves’ The Batman has been surprising us on a pretty regular basis with casting info. Just today he posted a welcoming gif of actor Peter Sarsgaard to let us in on his casting, but we all have the same question now: Who, exactly, will Sarsgaard be playing in The Batman? Well, I’m betting on a certain coin-loving villain who never starts off as one.

This take on the tale of The Dark Knight is said to feature a more in-depth look at Batman’s skills as a detective, as well as using a rogue’s gallery approach to the baddies it will use...

Black Widow’s Trailer Proves

The first trailer for Black Widow promises fascinating backstory, thrilling action sequences and the trademark humor of the MCU, but it also confirms that a Black Widow solo movie should’ve happened years ago. After the phenomenal success of The Avengers in 2012 took the MCU to previously unseen heights, calls for a Black Widow solo movie began in earnest. After all, Scarlett Johansson was a bona fide A-list leading actress and the likes of Thor, Captain America and Iron Man were beginning to rack up movie credits faster than Quicksilver was exiting the MCU. These calls intensified after DC beat Marvel to the punch with Wonder Woman and dispelled any lingering notion that a female-fronted superhero movie wouldn’t sell tickets; something Marvel discovered for themselves with 2019’s Captain ...
