‘Fitting End’ To Peggy Carter’s Story

Although Peggy Carter existed in the Marvel Comics universe long before Captain America: The First Avenger came out, Hayley Atwell propelled the character to new heights of popularity with her portrayal across various MCU movies and a short-lived TV series. Atwell most recently reprised Peggy in Avengers: Endgame, which ended with us seeing her and Steve Rogers finally reunited in the late 1940s and having that dance.

With Avengers: Endgame wrapping up many MCU plot threads, it’s possible this could be the last time we see Peggy Carter on the big screen. If that’s the case, Hayley Atwell is okay with her reunion and Steve finally ending up together as a final chapter of sorts...

At long last, a sequel to Doctor Strange is officially on the way with the recently announced Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. While not much, specifically, has been revealed since the project was announced at San Diego Comic-Con as part of Marvel Studios’ Phase 4 reveal, there are a few things we know. Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) will be teaming up with Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), this is being billed as the first horror movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Nightmare is going to be introduced as a new villain. But will he be the only villain? Or can we expect to see another appearance from an old foe? Specifically, Dormammu.

If Doctor Strange has an arch-nemesis, arguably, it’s Dormammu...

Avengers: Endgame Highest Grossing Movie

Despite the odds, Avengers: Endgame managed to surpass 2009’s Avatar as the highest grossing movie of all time (before inflation). Endgame had a fantastic start at the box office, but over the last month or two, its financial progress seriously began to dwindle, leading many to believe that it would not make it to the number one spot. However, thanks to its re-release and an extra bump from the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home, Avengers: Endgame managed to reach the top of the “highest grossing” list. Unfortunately for Marvel fans, this victory may not last for as long as they may hope.

Avengers: Endgame now sits at $2,790,849,263 at the global box office, which is only about 1 million over Avatar‘s $2,789,679,794. Avengers: Endgame is not expected to make very much more than it alread...

Mark Hamill Confirms Rise of Skywalker

SPOILERS ahead. Mark Hamill confirms Luke Skywalker is back as a Force Ghost in The Rise of Skywalker. Star Wars fans have thought about this option ever since the iconic character died at the conclusion of The Last Jedi. It’s the obvious way to have Hamill involved in the final installment in the Skywalker saga, but up until now, it was unclear how the Jedi Master was able to return. Regardless, fans were happy to hear his voice in the first trailer for the movie, which also features the return of Emperor Palpatine.

The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters at the end of the year and J.J. Abrams is doing a great job of keeping everything under wraps. Mark Hamill is currently out promoting the Child’s Play remake where he voices the new Chucky doll and he was obviously asked about the Star Wars ...

 Spider-Man And Doctor Strange Team

Spider-Man And Doctor Strange Team

Within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, team-ups don’t need to be limited to Avengers movies. Some of the ‘standalone’ movies also provide opportunities for heroes/protagonists to join forces, like how Iron Man bailed Peter Parker out of a jam in Spider-Man: Homecoming and how Spider-Man: Far From Home has Nick Fury and Maria Hill recruiting Peter to team up with Mysterio against The Elementals.

Spider-Man and Doctor Strange met each in Avengers: Infinity War, where they teamed up with Iron Man, Star-Lord, Drax, Mantis and Nebula to battle Thanos on Titan, and they were briefly together again in Avengers: Endgame after being snapped back to life by The Hulk. But a more direct team-up between the two of them is an intriguing prospect.

Marvel Movies That Didn't Actually Happen

Marvel Movies That Didn’t Actually Happen

Ever since it first hopped into the world of movies, Marvel has given the world some of the best superhero films of all time. From Blade to Avengers: Endgame, there’s plenty of films that have emerged from the studio that will be remembered for decades to come. With all of that said, would it be hard to believe that for every great movie Marvel has given the world the company has walked away from an equally great idea?

It’s true, and while it’s impossible to truly know if any of these amazing movie ideas that didn’t happen would’ve been as successful as classics such as Captain America: The Winter Soldier or Thor: Ragnarok, there’s certainly enough to make one think they had a decent shot...

‘Dark Phoenix’ Had the Worst

Dark Phoenix had the worst opening ever at the box office for an X-Men movie. Now it’s breaking records for the entire superhero movie genre. And definitely not the good kind.

Box Office Mojo notes that Dark Phoenix “cratered” (their word) in the film’s second weekend of release, grossing an estimated $9 million in U.S. theaters. That makes for a drop of some 72.6 percent form its opening weekend which means it…

…is the second largest second weekend drop for a film playing in over 3,500 theaters in its second weekend behind only 2015’s Fifty Shades of Grey (-73.9 percent). Additionally, Dark Phoenix earned an estimated $24.2 million in its second weekend of release internationally, raising the overall overseas cume to $152...

Dark Phoenix Director Takes Blame

Simon Kinberg is taking full responsibility for the box office failure of Dark Phoenix. The latest X-Men installment hit theaters just last week and debuted with an unimpressive $33 million domestically. As of this writing, the movie has only earned $42.7 million with an additional $100 million coming from overseas. There was some trouble behind-the-scenes in terms of editing and writing in addition to having the project pushed back more than once. There was also the X-Men fatigue, which started to take over. When it comes down to it, Kinberg accepts the blame.

In a new interview, less than two weeks after the release of Dark Phoenix, Simon Kinberg is reflecting on its dismal box office numbers...
